Brian Hedgepeth

Brian Hedgepeth has worked with Kingswood Custom Homes overseeing all the purchasing and estimating since 2007. Enthusiastic in his work, Brian is especially proud of the ongoing relationships with Kingswood’s clients and with their trade base. He loves the process of building and the collaborative effort it requires. He says, “It is very rewarding to provide an incredible product for our clients—they really love their homes. To make that happen we provide work for our 200-plus trade contractors and have a direct impact on their lives too.”

Originally from Rock Hill, South Carolina, Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science & Management and a Minor in Economics from Clemson University. His choice of profession was indicated early in life via an indisputable love of Legos and creating something tangible. Today, he credits the 2008 recession as the challenge that created a true appreciation for the process and the patience, resilience, and accountability necessary for leaning in and staying the course. On a more micro-level, the phase of construction that he particularly enjoys is the interior trim stage, which comes after the drywall, tile, and flooring have been installed. “The interior trim gives the spaces recognizable form and identity. At that point, the house really takes on a heartbeat and personality.”

Brian is a licensed General Contractor and holds the Associate Constructor designation from the American Institute of Constructors. In his free time, he enjoys coaching children’s basketballs teams, working out with local community organization F3, watching Clemson football, and spending time with his wife Perrin, their young son, and their dogs, Moose and Murphy.
Brian won the 2018 and 2021 Purchasing Manager of the Year Award from the Home Builders Association of Greater Charlotte.
